Most of us end up with a patchwork. A web host here, Gmail or Outlook there, and files scattered across whichever cloud gave us free space first. Infomaniak wants to put all of that in one account.
It’s a Swiss company with teams in Geneva and Zurich. It says more than a million people use its services, and it designs its software and runs its own data centres in Switzerland. After going through its current plans, certifications and reviews, we think it’s one of the more convincing European alternatives to the big American platforms. That’s especially true if you want hosting, email and storage from one provider.

Hosting with plenty of room
Standard Web Hosting starts at CHF 10.91 a month, with a 30-day free trial. You get 250 GB of SSD storage, up to 20 websites, unlimited traffic and databases, automatic backups and one-click installs for more than 100 apps and CMSs. If you ever outgrow 20 sites, the limit can be raised to 100. Details here.
For comparison, SiteGround’s StartUp plan is advertised at $2.99 a month for the first term and renews at $17.99 on a 12-month plan. It covers one site with 10 GB of storage, and GrowBig (50 GB, unlimited sites) renews at $29.99. SiteGround’s rate sheet has the full list. These are different products in different currencies, so don’t compare them on price alone. What stands out is how much Infomaniak includes from the start. A freelancer or small agency can run a whole client roster without changing plan. Domains are billed separately.
WordPress fans get a nice welcome
WordPress installs automatically, and the Divi theme and visual builder are included. Moving from another host? Infomaniak will migrate your WordPress site for free. Backups sit in a second data centre, and you can roll a site back to any point in the previous seven days. You keep ordinary WordPress, your own database and your own content, so you’re never locked into a proprietary builder. More on WordPress hosting.
The Swiss part is real
Infomaniak runs its own data centres in Switzerland, and its development and operations teams work there too. Its certifications include ISO 27001 for information security (since 2018), ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 50001 for energy. It also carries the Swiss Hosting and Swiss Made Software labels and became a B Corp in 2025. The company is owned by its founders and employees. Full list of certificates.
A greener footprint than most
The electricity is 100% renewable: 60% from Swiss hydropower and 40% from solar and small hydro. Infomaniak offsets 200% of its CO2 through two myclimate projects, one in the Swiss Jura and one in Nicaragua. The data centres run without air conditioning, and servers stay in service for up to 15 years. It won’t make your site load faster. But if two providers do the same job, this is a good reason to pick the cleaner one.
kDrive might be the star
Even if you never need hosting, kDrive is worth a look. kDrive Solo gives you 3 TB from CHF 4.99 a month on annual billing (CHF 5.54 month to month). That covers one user and includes:
- desktop sync for Windows, macOS and Linux
- iOS and Android apps
- WebDAV
- password-protected sharing links
- version history
- online editing with OnlyOffice
The Android app is rated 4.8 from about 10,000 reviews on Google Play. For comparison, Proton Drive Plus offers 200 GB at $3.99 a month on annual billing, with end-to-end encryption as its main feature. The two have different priorities. Infomaniak is the one to look at if you want a big Swiss-hosted drive for photos, video or years of documents. kDrive pricing.
kSuite: email and collaboration for a small team
kSuite Standard starts at CHF 1.76 per user per month. You get two professional email addresses per user, unlimited mailbox storage and 50 GB of kDrive per user. Google Workspace Business Starter is $7 per user per month on an annual plan, with 30 GB of pooled storage. Google’s apps are familiar to millions of teams, so this isn’t a like-for-like swap. But for a small business that mostly needs email, calendars and shared files, Infomaniak is a much lower entry point.
Teams with bigger libraries can look at kSuite Business. It’s CHF 7.33 per user per month, or CHF 3.67 in the first year, and includes five addresses and 3 TB of kDrive per user. Proton Workspace Standard is $12.99 per user per month and includes 1 TB per user plus Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, VPN and Pass. Proton is the one to pick when encrypted communication and a built-in VPN matter most. Infomaniak is stronger on storage per franc. kSuite pricing.
The easiest way to try it is free
A free personal kSuite account gives you an ad-free email address with 20 GB of mail storage and 15 GB of cloud storage. You can use Mail and kDrive for a few weeks before you move a domain or a website.
The Mail app is rated 4.8 from more than 21,000 reviews on Google Play and has over 100,000 downloads. On the US App Store it sits at 4.7, from a smaller pool of about 170 ratings. Reviewers like how quick it is and how simple it is to use.
What customers say
On Trustpilot, Infomaniak averages 3.9 out of 5 across more than 2,000 reviews, and four in five of them are five-star. Recurring praise includes reliable hosting, fast file sharing, smooth migrations and friendly, professional staff. Support is available seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., from teams in Geneva and Zurich. Premium support is available if you want round-the-clock cover. Read the reviews.

Beyond that, you’ll find kMeet for video calls, kChat for team messaging, SwissTransfer for large files, a newsletter tool, streaming services, managed cloud servers and Node.js hosting. Who should try it
European businesses that care where their data lives are the obvious fit. But a WordPress user can come for the hosting, a photographer for the 3 TB drive, a small company for cheap professional email, and a privacy-minded family for the free accounts. Because everything lives in one ecosystem, you can add pieces later without rebuilding.
The verdict
Infomaniak gets more impressive the further you dig. You get 20 sites and 250 GB of hosting from CHF 10.91, 3 TB of storage from CHF 4.99, and business email from CHF 1.76 per user. Behind it sits Swiss-run infrastructure, ISO 27001 certification, renewable power and employee ownership.
If all you want is the cheapest first-month hosting coupon, there are plenty of places to look. If you’d rather have your website, email and files with one company that keeps your data in Switzerland, Infomaniak is easy to recommend.
